Primarily by the recent adoption and ratification of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Agreement by most African countries including Botswana. This is a historic step towards rationalizing Africa’s regional trade arrangements to deepen economic integration and draw on economies of scale and development of regional value chains to accelerate the process of structural transformation of African economies.
