CWA PAN AFRICAN WOMEN FORUM LAUNCH 2022

cONVERSATION WITH AFRICA

The Conference seeks to discuss the conceptual and policy foundations of the free trade area and its motivations, and then address the practical opportunities and challenges that come with the implementation of a free trade area in Africa.

The Conference will also recognize that the implementation of the AfCFTA will impinge on the pre-existing regional economic groupings, and will seek to address how these can be harmonized and any relevant transitional processes.

As Africa evolves as an economic and trading block, its relationship with major global economies will become significant. Therefore the trade and investment relationships with global trading partners and other economies will need to be explored and unpackaged.

It is thus the desire of this platform, CONVERSATION WITH AFRICA to seize the opportunity as we help accelerate progress on Intra-African Trade.
